Every Day is Earth Day

While Earth Day festivities have come and gone, we truly believe every day is Earth Day! It’s up to us to do our part to be mindful citizens and caretakers of our world.

To celebrate Earth Day on its 50th anniversary, we hosted a special class to inspire our learners to protect our planet. We learned about the 3 Rs: reduce, recycle, reuse and made our own play dough using common pantry items. In addition to getting our hands dirty and having fun, we demonstrated that we can reduce our consumption with a little creativity using things we already have!

To cap off our celebration with a sweet ending, we also made Earth Sugar Cookies, bringing our families together in the kitchen, which is one of our favorite ways to bring math to life

We hope these recipes inspire you and your family to be creative, conscious citizens of our planet today and every day.
