Enrollment Agreement
Last modified: July 29, 2022
Welcome to Grupology’s math program! We can’t wait to cultivate or grow your child’s mathematical mindset.
Program Schedule
Grupology’s math program consists of 34 classes, taught once a week over the course of two semesters. Each class is 75 minutes with a five minute break. The fall/winter semester consists of 16 lessons and the winter/spring semester consists of 18 lessons. Grupology requires a student’s commitment for the entire academic year (Aug - May). The academic schedule is posted online.
Homework
For Level 1, homework is optional. For Level 2 and above, each lesson is reinforced with online homework. Students are assigned online homework after every class with potential exceptions during academic recess/break periods. Although answers are submitted online, students should work through problems on paper as needed. Homework should take between 45 minutes to one hour and 30 minutes, depending on the student. For homework help, students can email the teacher with specific questions at any time. Office hours are limited to two times per semester and all questions are required to be sent in advance. If we find that students are asking similar questions about the same concept, we will make sure to review and share with the broader group.
Parent Partnership
Grupology’s math program thrives with parent and guardian partnership. Students, parents and guardians have access to real-time progress reports. To help ensure that the program is successful, please provide support with the following:
Ensure students arrive on time
Make sure your child has enough time to complete their online homework
Help them stay organized before and after each lesson by keeping all paperwork in a binder
Contact your teacher if you have any concerns about your child’s performance
If your child is struggling, encourage them to email their teacher, ask questions in class or attend office hours.
Class Placement
Grupology educators will consult with parents on class placement based on student assessment prior to finalizing enrollment. Students are placed in the class that will help them best develop their math skills. Class sizes are small with a max capacity of 12 students. Final placement will be at the discretion of Grupology educators.
