Black Lives Matter

Grupology believes Black Lives Matter. We cannot separate our students’ education from the context of the world they live in. In fact, it would be a disservice to them to do so. As a society, we have reached an inflection point where we all need to confront and acknowledge racism head on and stand up for and alongside those who face racial injustice in their daily lives.

The work of anti-racism demands attention and participation. For my family, this meant finding a way to safely participate in a protest march, so my children could understand the power of collective voices standing up for what’s right—an invaluable, real world experience of activism that undoubtedly will have an impact on how they see the world and their place in it. This is education in action.

Though the topic of racism is not new, the discussion is ever evolving and we all have to be committed to the learning and unlearning process. To that end, we have links below to some resources we have found helpful and could be for you and your family.

Grupology continues to offer free classes to under-resourced communities and financial aid to those for whom tuition puts our classes out of reach. We stand in solidarity with Black Lives Matter and are committed to doing what we can so that the next generation’s world is just and equitable for all.
